Before gushing about how proud I am of all our Canadian athletes I am going to address the thought that is obviously on the forefront of everyone’s mind about the mens curling team.
Shouldn’t John Morris and Ben Hebert be on the bobsled track?
These guys are seriously huge. Now I’m not the most avid curling watcher, I admit, but since when did curling become a beef show???
Well… I certainly don’t think it’s going to hurt the sport.
Okay so I can’t find a picture that does their size justice… so I will move on to gushing.
Wow Canada! Seriously! Tied for the most medals ever won in a Winter Olympics… that from never winning a single gold on home turf. What an accomplishment! And go ladies! So strooong!
I feel so honoured to be represented by these wonderful people.
And a special shout out to Clara Hughes… thank you for reminding us what an incredible achievement it is to win a bronze medal.
