Alright men.  Strip the egos and shed some facial hair on a serious situation.

It’s November, or should I say Movember, and thousands of men across the globe are growing the most coveted facial hair there is… the moustache.

This is a wonderful month long fundraising event that began in Australia over a couple of beers to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer.  Since it’s inception in 2003 Movember has gone global, breaking barriers and getting men to talk about some serious, hard to talk about things.  What begins as a roast on one the fuzz under one friend’s nose can quickly become a meaningful discussion about men’s health.

Prostate cancer is the number one cancer affecting men.  Personally, I have lost my grandfather to prostate cancer, my dad was affected (all good now), and a number of other men close to my heart are/have been affected.  I am sure many of you share similar experiences and/or are affected in many other ways by this cancer.

I am proud to say my dad Alex, brother Adam, and cousin Brendan are standing tall, proud, and moustaches long this month all in support of a very noble cause.

Please find some time to offer them words of encouragement or a donation (small or large, it all counts) or both if you can!  Just check out the following link to see progress and how to make a donation:

And in the mean time, enjoy this photo as something to look forward to… Thank you Brendan.
