daily gratitude.
It would be difficult for me to list all the things I am grateful for. I am a very, very lucky person. But I probably still have something to learn about showing my gratitude. And so, today, on Thanksgiving, I am going to set an intention of taking a lesson from my mom.
More than five years ago now (approximately 21% of my life ago) I moved to Vancouver (well, Burnaby at first, but let’s not get caught up in details). And since I have been gone my wonderful, wonderful mother has written me an email every day. And I mean literally every single day (minus the days when I am actually with her).
Wow. Seriously… it doesn’t get much cooler than that.
And to make things all that much sweeter, in every single email she tells me something she is grateful for.
So, in realizing just how amazing the little things my mom does for me are, I am not going to write that list down. But I am going to be certain to, every day, take a moment, be it a whole day, or a fleeting thought, and find some time to acknowledge one of the many, many reasons I have to be grateful.
