Merry Christmas to one and all.
Yet another Christmas has whizzed by. It’s hard to believe yet another year is coming to a close. It’s scary how time seems to just keep speeding up. I guess that’s why you’re supposed to live in the moment and never wish away time.
Chirstmas Eve was excellent as always. I had an awesome lunch with Mr. Russell Lawrence. We had a ton to catch up on and I’ve got...
You know it's cold when...
you are excited that it’s only -16ºC out.
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes.
So I went on a walk with Charlotte and Mom yesterday from Black Diamond to Turner Valley (Tom and Dad chickened out). It was -30ºC. It was cold. There were no snowflakes on my nose because I had a neon orange tube on. There were no snowflakes on my eyelashes because it wasn’t snowing. But my eyelashes did freeze together. The walk wasn’t actually that bad and I learnt a valuable...
Getting through the list.
Alright, I have been fairly successful the past two days. A number of people have been stroked off the list. All that remains is two big presents and whatever I can scrounge up for stocking stuffers. I am not falling prey to the stress trap that is Christmas shopping. I am feeling very confident all will be done, done well, and most importantly all will be well received.
I am liking the...
Winter wonderland homecoming.
Well the suburban’s thermometer read -22ºC when I arrived back in Calgary last night. Pretty chilly, but I’ve gotta say, it doesn’t feel a whole lot worse than the -3ºC in Vancouver… it might even feel a little nicer.
It is feeling pretty nice to be back in town and it feels reeeally nice to get back behind the wheel again. There’s something very liberating about...
Trap and realease... and trap again.
I am done. I am sooooo done!!!! It’s just starting to sink in now. But I am D-O-N-E done! That’s 9 out of 10 semesters under my belt. Cha-ching! I am so glad I will not have to pull another all nighter or get less than 8 hours of sleep (unless it’s by choice, rather than out of necessity) for another month and a half or so!
I had to get up early and work with my guppies...
Natural processes.
Okay. I just finished an exam, went and tended to my guppies, and now I am sitting in a really cool room with Jenny and Nate procrastinating (me, not them). I am a little sleepy. Three hours of sleep last night. Why do we need sleep so much? It’s so frustrating. What a waste of time. I swear I would be the best student on the planet if I didn’t have to sleep. I could hang out...
2 down 2ish to go.
Alright. Two classes are finito! Wrote my REM 100 final today. Man… I had really hoped for more from that class. Alas, it followed the general 100 level course trend and remained far too general. Oh well, at least I tried it out.
My paper for BISC 471 was handed in on Monday. That’s nice to have finished. Although I really wish I hadn’t had to write an outline. I think...
